As far as I'm aware that is the case. If you want to archive 1080p, wait for the BD releases to be subbed.

Those two, probably never, just find a group subbing the dvd releases. A dvd rip will have better image quality than a broadcast rip anyways.

If you don't have a monitor to support 1080P its basically useless and the same thing as 720p.

Aside from that, 1080P BD releases are fabulous.
Unlike CR 1080's they have true HD quality and is definitely eye candy.
I'm not saying CR's 1080's are upscales but they definitely don't have the quality that BD's have.

Well the disc release will always have superior image quality compared to their broadcast counterpart due to the compression used to fit bandwidth limits.

Lots of 1080p are just upscales, so I prefer 720p for viewing.

The majority of tvripps are 720p so when you see 1080p I think it has been upscaled... So I don't see the point.
