So I have spent over a day now trying to find out the name of a song that plays several times throughout the X (TV) series. I'm certain it doesn't appear in either of the OSTs. The first occurrence of the song is in the first scene of Episode 11 "Border" and plays on several occasions later in the anime. The song sounds much like the main theme of Book of Eli. Can anyone help me to identify this song? Thanks!

First scene? I can only assume you are referring to the short bit of synthesized background music aprox 1:10 in to episode 11. Correct? You can't be referring to the OP since that stays the same through out the series.

I would hardly call that a song. Irregardless the only composer, (aside from the OP and ED), associated with X TV series is composer Naoki Satō. Though there are several more besides him that are credited on the release of the two soundtrack DVD's.

If I'm not mistaken what I believe your looking for is Sadame by Naoki Satō. Since this is somewhat similar to the theme from The Book of Eli.



Forgive me but I did provide you with the info so I'm going to ask. Over a day? Just what and how were you searching?

Thank you for the detailed reply, but this is not the correct song, though this is definitely my fault. Sorry if I led you astray in my description, as I assumed the first scene was the scene immediately after the intro, though this was not the case. The time this song, or music rather, begins is right around 3:00 with Kotori's dream, and sounds much like "Panoramic" from The Book of Eli. I've searched just about every medium I can think of to find this, including browsing the Naoki Sato's compositions, wikipedia, youtube, both OST's and the Character theme music to no avail. Thanks again for trying though, and if you have any other advice on what this song is, please let me know.
