It's happened to all of us, we've read the Manga/LN of something and watched the anime of it...but compared to the original it's not as good.

That's understandable an adaptation is almost never as good as the original but in many cases it's close enough. However there's sure to be ones we want them to re-do them.

For those I would like re-done:


Blue Exorcist: The first half was interesting....It was made far too early...hopefully we'll get Ao No Exorcist: Brotherhood in a couple of years

Gakuen Alice: They turned it into a kids show!!! Where's the conspiracy? The Murder? The Forbidden Romance between Teacher and Student. They even got one of the main character's eye colour wrong!

It's not awful by any means, it's pretty good (I like the casting of Hotaru) but the Manga is so much better there's no comparison.

Hidan no Aria: Ugh...I can't even finish the anime. It went bad starting from the bus-jacking incident...

Tsukihime: Have not watch it but a lot of people claim it is so bad that they do not consider such an anime existed.

Soul Eater: Finished watching. It started getting bad after they deviate from the manga. I don't read the manga but if I can tell when they deviate without reading means something.

Negima: So far all the anime can't pull it off successfully save for the OVA

Fate UBW: Make it into a series!

Fate Stay Night- the whole anime needs to be redone mashing 3 different routes into one plot line then adding crap that was not even in the original source material, yeah this needs a "do over". Fate, Unlimited Blade Works, and Heaven's Feel routes need their own animes not some mashed up mess. The censorship was horrendous too and what Studio DEEN did replace certain x-rated scenes... bleehh.

If you saw this without reading the VN you would of thought it was decent for what it was but it does not do the original source material any justice.

Tsukihime- Tsuki-what?

Ao no Exorcist- first half from the manga, the second half.....lolwut?

Hidan no Aria- JC Staff ruins a decent LN with that craptastic adaptation. (Not a fan of JC Staff more misses then hits)

Deadman Wonderland- horrible adaptation from the manga, they cut corners left out characters only thing that made it anything was that it was different from rest of the anime during that season.

There are more from what I have heard such as Claymore, Negima, Soul Eater, Umineko etc, but those I have not actually sat down and watched so I can't say much about them.

Love Hina, which wasn't bad until it ended very early in.

Dance in the Vampire Bund, which also wasn't bad except for the amnesia. The rest I can live with. Even that first episode, though the manga intro was WAY better.

Strike Witches 2. Just the initial episode. It's just kinda awkwardly done.

Most of my gripes are just with single episodes really, or ones where they changed the ending from the manga to/or rushed it into 12 episodes. I know they have to do that sometimes, but it's better to just wait.

D.N.Angel. The anime made me sick. How could they turn such an awesome manga to such a pussy piece of shit? Same goes for E's otherwise. The E's manga was bloody godly beyond godly ;-;

Claymore for sure, the anime wasn't bad, but the manga is awesome. Soul Eater needs a remake where they actually follow the manga story line now that more of it has been released. I wish they would do a continuation of Berserk, because Berserk is beast mode(and yes I know they are releasing 3 movies over the next 10 years or whatever). There are more that I can't think of right now..
