It seems that OVAs that aren't related to anime end up being unnoticed and/or ignored. Well at least the ones Bo has watched (१Д१). Whenever Bo's mentioned them around other anime watchers she just gets blank stares. Though if she mentions Hellsing Ultimate, Deadman Wonderland OVA, etc people know what she's talking about. At least from what Bo's observed when talking about them.

So she is curious, has anyone here heard of or even watched a few that she's listed? Bo's already watched, Norageki!, Dead Leaves, Cencoroll and Switch. And in the process of watching Battle Angel Alita. While the others she's listed are gonna be watched in the future... most likely the far far far far far far far future sadly 〜(Ｔ△Ｔ〜)(〜Ｔ△Ｔ)〜

It'd be epic to know if anyones watched any of them. If she wasn't so behind in typing reviews for a-status she'd go back and make reviews for the ovas. (१_१)

I've heard of the rest *BA Alita but preoccupied with other series so.. guess I'll have to make time again xD

You have no idea how happy it makes Bo to know that at least someone has heard of the other OVAs she posted! Truly agreed Cencoroll is epic. That's why she has a copy of it on Jake Jr (psp). It's sad though that nobody's translated the manga yet. But did you hear that there's a Cencoroll movie coming out~!! And what's Kyousogiga about, that made you have such a reaction? xD

about kyousogiga, it was one weird ride (lol) and I was lucky enough to tune it at the right time on nhk channel and saw a special feature about it, market-wise.. there should be more if it sells enough or sth

Black Lagoon 6 part OVA in 2011 says otherwise. So does Hellsing which is still on-going.

But i guess ur just one of those "it's dead" people that go around and say it to pretty much anything they encounter and are not interested in or could not find anything.

I have seen all but two. Also if your going to have Norageki!/Five Numbers! you might as well list Koi☆Sento/Coicent also. They are both Sunrise, Sentai Filmworks projects and are representative of good stand alone works.

I do think your list is rather narrow in that the shows are all (except Battle Angel Alita), post 2004. Most are 08 or newer. Shows of this time frame may have much in the way of visual quality over earlier works. However many lack essential story and character development that earlier shows depended on.

I've seen Norageki! cause I think it was posted on this site when it came out so I thought I'd give it a shot. I enjoyed the twist

I've seen most of Toshi Densetsu Monogatari Hikiko but I didn't really like the quality and the story isn't really something I go for so I just kind skipped around checking parts out.

I'll have to check out the other ones now that you've mentioned them!

I can't disagree about Roberta's Blood Trial...

& even if Hellsing was not "gore fanservice," that doesn't really change anything. cuz at best you'll have like 01% good OVAs, and 99% sex fanservice. no?
