Looks like a funny concept, but the trailer wasn't funny at all. It looked more like a MSG movie with the humans replaced by animals.
Does anybody know if the recently released G-Force movie (no not Gatchaman) is in any way related to this? [Only registered and activated users can see links. ]

if I recall, this is based on the manga known in the US as "Apocalypse Meow" so it does in fact = anime. It is also, in fact, quite awesome even if you just replaced the animals with humans, as it is it's surreal, and grabs your attention with well rendered images.
It's also very very very old and seems like it'll never see the light of day as a full movie which is also, in fact, a shame.
