I just finished watching all of the episodes and the movie of Hajime No Ippo non-stop for days on end. I looked into how many chapters of the manga there are and there is over 950!!! My god! With that I am wondering if there will be more of this AMAZING anime in the future?

I wish I could forget this anime and re-watch it!

I remember reading an interview right after new challenger ended with the guy who voices takamura. He said that another season was already being talked about, but from how long it took inbetween the first 2 seasons I wouldn't expect it any time soon. Maybe some time in 2013 or something.

I'd recommend reading the manga. The anime pretty much follows it word for word and the manga is great. You're gonna love Woli

Thanks so much for your response at least I now know there should be another season which would be fantastic. I am planning to start reading the manga, but I must admit, reading like 800 chapters(guessing from the amount of anime episodes released) would take some time!!! I never would have guessed boxing could've been so amazing as a show! Thanks so much!

same for me! It was the first show that broadend my anime search habits (because at first i never ever tried to watch sport or other specific themed anime.). Also it inspired me really much so i worked harder on my trainings (not box, but still)

It is a really good anime that teaches a lot to the viewer and inspires them. There should be definitely a new season!

Precisely. I have never really had a passion for a sport anime but this changed my view on them entirely. Well, Moshidora was also another sports anime that I thoroughly enjoyed.
