Haha, yeah. This was the second anime that really caught my attention in terms of its parallel universe theme. The first was 12 Kingdoms, but nothing can really match how great that anime was, even though it has aged quite a bit.

Yeah, 12 kingdoms is a fantastic anime. It starts being ok, and it takes like 20 episodes to actually become great. Also, the production values weren't up to par with the story/world/characters, so that doesn't help it's popularity either. And finally, the story was never finished, so the anime was kind of left in nowhere (especially arc 2). These are the things that prevent it from being one of the best animes ever, but even so, it's something that any anime lover should watch.

And it completly diferent to noein. It's much more similar to seirei no moribito or legend of the galactic heroes.

Bummer it's incomplete, I thorougly enjoyed seirei no moribito though, so I'll give 12 kingdoms another chance :]
