Umineko no naku koro ni:

One of the July anime series, and one I've been looking forward to for oh-so-long.

Plot:
Umineko no Naku Koro ni takes place in 1986 during the time frame of October the 4th and the 5th on a secluded island named Rokkenjima (六軒島). The head of the wealthy Ushiromiya family, Kinzō Ushiromiya, who lives on and owns Rokkenjima, is near death, and eleven of his family members arrive on the island to discuss how Kinzō's assets will be divided once he is dead. Also on the island are five of Kinzō's servants, and his personal physician. After the eleven family members arrive, a typhoon traps them on the island and shortly after people start to get mysteriously murdered. (Source: Baka-Tsuki)

I'm being stuffed around by my parents doing housework so I probably won't for another couple of hours. Just came and downloaded/uploaded. I saw the OP though and I really can't wait.

I might watch it after a couple of episodes or so.
But if you tell me "hey yeah it's freakin twisted and stuff!" I will not watch it then... -_- not wanting disturbing stuff atm

Well I was expecting them to skip quite a few things (it was to be expected) but the pacing was a bit too fast and things felt a little more rushed than they should have been. Still have high hopes for this though and I hope they don't go crazy with the omission of scenes. DEEN can come through when they want to.

Watched it about 30 minutes ago myself. Definitely looking good so far imo.

The plot and characters traits are coming through reasonably well so far, and the plot isn't being drawn out. I reckon the pacing, although rather quick, was appropriate considering that long introductions are boring, and if they plan to fit episodes 1-4 of the game into 24-26 episodes (my guess at how long it will be) (note anywhere that says 13 is just doing a pre-season estimate, it hasn't been confirmed yet as far as I've seen).

I guess next episode will help determine how long the series (probably) length will be since so far it's really not that far into the first game.
