I dunno if it will happen, but I just found out K-On! manga is still continued to Yui, Mio, Mugi and Ritsu's college life and Azusa, Ui and Jun's 3rd year.

Azu-nyan is more cuter in 3rd year

I dunno bout you but I actually wouldn't mind if it ended now. Simply because for me it really captured that moment in time when you realize you and your high school friends may not always be together.

I thought the "getting into the same college together" thing was kind of a cop out but I did enjoy the S2 finale.

The movie might be interesting

Hope there's a chance of a season 3 coming anytime soon...If not, i'll still be happy knowing that season 1 & 2 rocked. But the good news is that the movie's coming though...i guess that's kind of comforting lol.

Few things I have to say about this,
1. Indeed the manga is continuing but if lets say they were to make the anime series they would wait for the manga to be over or far ahead before they start producing/airing the anime series.
2. K-ON Received A LOT of good feedback & Im pretty sure the sales were great. So if they're was to be a season 3, It'd be a high chance of production.
3. tl;dr , season 3 highly possible because of manga , but will take a long time, at least a year or so.
