History's Strongest Disciple Kenichi Gets OVA by Brains Base

GOOD GOD.
Ive been waiting years for this to happen, hopefully this will lead to an eventually continuation of the first season. The manga is just so awesome

This year's 47th issue of Shogakukan's Weekly Shonen Sunday magazine is announcing on Wednesday that an original video anime (OVA) project of Shun Matsuena's Shijō Saikyō no Deshi Kenichi (History's Strongest Disciple Kenichi) manga has been green-lit. The anime studio Brains Base will produce the project. More details and the release date information will be provided in future issues of Weekly Shonen Sunday.

The manga already inspired a television anime series that Funimation released in North America.

I know right. I'm gonna be so disappointed if the OVA doesn't lead to a second season. There are so many anime s out there that get 2 seasons that aren't as good as HSDK. SO COME ON ANIME PRODUCTION COMPANY, GIVE THE PEOPLE WHAT THEY WANT XD

you're right, a 2nd season would be awesome. well if its ova then I suppose the art & animation should still be superior since OVAs have more budget per episode

Not too sure what the voices actors/actresses are gonna be. But why change her? I thought the original one was quite good.
