I agree, I thought he would solve the puzzle himself and show his brilliancy but it was all thanks to his friend Nonoha. So I don't see him worthy of the treasure he got. Because it wasn't his effort alone when he was challenged by Minotaur.
And I do really hate stupid characters running around like chickens without thinking a little bit and they think they are doing something good or smart. And what? She saw that on the net, oh come on, you can't believe in such stuff. Those characters tends always to expose others for risks and themselves.
And one more thing, the main protagonist Kaito reminds me of the main protagonist Shichika Yasuri from Katanagatari.

I think they're totally different. But Kaito reminds me of Aruma from Sacred Seven. I think its prob because they look alike.

Actually if the maze's walls are all connected to the boundary of the maze it's not completely stupid. You will eventually end up at the end of the maze by simply following the wall.
