Synopsis: It has been a few hundred years since humans began to live on space colonies. In A.G. 101, an unknown enemy (UE) "GAFRAN" suddenly attacks one of the colonies "Angel". A long war against UE has begun.

In A.G 108, seven year old Flit Asuno lost his mother when UE attacked his colony "Ovan". His mother left him a memory unit "AGE" which had stored data of an ancient mobile suit Gundam. In A.G. 114, Flit completes the Gundam AGE and counterattacks against GAFRANs.

Saw this a few days ago on animenewsnetwork. My first thought then as now remains the same. All things Gundam are not created equal. As we have seen many times in the past Sunrise does not have a Midas touch where Gundam is concerned. They also announced today that the manga version of Gundam AGE will launch as well. Which kind of hints that they are looking at this project as just one more addition to their already blotted cash cow called Gundam.
Also this is most definitely shōnen as opposed to seinen. It has the feeling of Pokemon meets Transformers.

And if anyone doesn't think that the bottom line isn't Sunrise's primary concern check this out. You have been warned.

It wouldn't be a bad thing except that they compromise quality, (for the most part), for the sake of their bottom line as well.

I first heard about this on one of the ongoing anime series, after the previews. Of course, I got interested and wanted to know more about it. I checked, briefly, and read a few negative remarks about it being to childish, made for kids and so on. So, then I went and saw a preview of it. Can't really say how I feel but after seeing the way that boys mom was killed, I want to at least check it out.

Also, people crying over the character designs are idiots, if you actually watch the previews it becomes quite clear that AGE looks like standard Gundam, granted we won't know for certain untill it starts airing. But geez, heaven forbid Sunrise try a different art style rather than staying with the bishy crap they've been stuck on since Gundam W.
