lgabl, do you remember when you watched it and if it's a recent anime? As Spectre456 says, there are tonnes of shows that have that premise, but ones I can think of (aside from [Only registered and activated users can see links. ]):

I think the guys hair color was black or brown ( something dark ((I am color blind so....))

I am not 100% sure if the sibling moved with him or if it was like a cousins house that he moved to. Either case I do know it was a female.

As for the time frame I watched the 1 ep before my move / new computer about 3 1/2 - 4 months ago. I know it was not an anime that was currently airing at the time. ** IE it had already finished airing.

Of the ones I listed, the only one worth watching is Kanon (specifically the 2006 version). If you like horror/mystery then Higurashi (and all the sequels) is OK, I personally didn't find the series to be that good, but I know many do.

Watch Yosuga no Sora if you're into hentai, the rest are just mediocre.

2nd pic is Nurarihyon no Mago(well the guy in the middle is anyway which is pretty good for me cuz of my shitty memory...my friends call me old man for that reason).

ahh starting to remember i think the 1st one is too, one of the bird sons.
