i watched and enjoyed it.
I somehow managed to forget thundercats as i knew it and began watching it as something new and am seriously looking forward to the 3rd episode and so on.

I like the 'back story' if we can call it that, with Grune betraying Claudus, instead of just having him appear in the old series and never knowing exactly why he left the cats, only that he had beef with Jaga.

Not too keen on Panthro's sideburns or the nutsack on Mum-ra's chin, but Cheetara makes up for those so i'm cool.

Also like how Tygra & Lion-o are brothers, and although annoying, Lion-o is tolerable, unlike in the original where he was an overgrown pussy (get it?)

Also also like the idea that thundera doesn't exist as a planet, species mix and there is a hierarchy who are ignorant to the world outside their fortress walls.

oh, and the mechs were pretty damn cool too

It is a tv show, airing on Fridays on the cartoon network.

You can find the torrents on Pirate Bay if you want to watch (don't live in America) I will keep on watching, I enjoyed the 2 episodes

The first two episodes were combined to form a "Movie premiere" launch.

I was a fan of the original series and I don't mind this new show at all. it's been a long time since the original show and a re-imagining of this level of quality is a welcome addition to the franchise. It's well animated, has cool character designs, feels original and nostaglgic at the same time, and doesn't butcher your memories like some previous remakes have been doing lately.

I love ThunderCats, but this looks kind of weird.

I watched it and it was pretty awesome in my opinion. The animation and voice acting were solid and the story atleast from the first two episodes seems to be aimed at the adult fans of the original.

Agreed. Sure looks like a TV show to me. Thus IMHO this is the right section to have it it.

Otherwise I must admit that I never really got to watch the original first time through. This show, and Silver Hawks, never played in my area. The only episode I saw fully is when Tigra got high. (this is not a joke)

We got the other weird series like M.A.S.K. and Adventures of the Galaxy Rangers (either Zozo, purple-people-rabbit, freaked you out or you thought his people were cool. Especially with their big guns - if you remember that episode)

Thundercats seemed to stick though through the decades. If it crosses my path I'll probably check it out.

We don't need two threads for Thundercats in two different categories. It's close enough to anime.
