Those who love Durarara!! are in for a special treat - Aniplex of America announced at FanimeCon that the series will be running on Adult Swim, an American television network, in June.

Durarara!! will be airing on Saturday evenings and the Adult Swim website will be streaming episodes after they air.

The 25 episode series follows a headless woman who works as an underground courier in Ikebukuro, Japan, an anonymous internet based gang called Dollars, and the chaos that unfolds around some of the most dangerous people in Ikebukuro.

Them actually broadcasting it is quite something. This should mean that it'll be the dub as well which usually is bad news... Guess we'll see then.

All they gotta do is get Johnny Yong Bosch to voice the main guy and the dub will be good enough for anyone that hasn't already watched the subbed version.

I do think it's cool that it's gonna be aired on american tv though. Adult Swim is in dire need of new series... they've been recycling FLCL, Ghost in the Shell and Cowboy Bebop for an eternity now...

yeah, they always have the same shows. Even though i own the dvds, once in a while i stay up to watch FLCL and Cowboy Bebop on Adult Swim.

Yeah, the dub is quite good, and was released in 3 parts, the first two parts are already out and the third part comes out in 2 days.

Yes, Johnny Yong Bosch used to be "Jason" the Red Ranger.

Nice, I'm glad to see [AS] is getting some more awesome material. I agree that they've been recycling the same shows (though they're awesome) for too long. Adult Swim is pretty much the only anime that the mainstream US audience gets exposed to, so they really should look to constantly get new shows. Heck, I'd be willing to donate to such a cause.
