I'm not surprised that Nichijou made the list, I frankly didn't make it through the first episode. That said, I don't think it is bad (per se), but it is going to be one of those that people will either love or simply just not get. That type of humor appeals to a very specific audience.

It wouldn't surprise me if it became a big hit. One of the disturbing trends I see among reviewers (especially Sankaku and ANN) is that they immediately classify anything they personally don't like as trash and dismiss it entirely.

^above post

I totally agree with you there, I just didn't get the jokes in Nichijou. Kinda like how I didn't get the jokes in Baka to Test..etc 1st season, but found the manga and 2nd season (2 eps so far) to be completely hilarious.

On a side note, personally, I think that Steins;Gate being up near the top is trolling at work. Yes, it wasn't as good as the VN, but it captured the spirit of the characters... not sure if that counts as disappointing though xD Anyway, the poll is just personal opinion as with most of the posts here. If you liked a said anime, that's your opinion and your opinion may not be consistent with the rest of the people out there.

Nichijou's humor isn't really that funny, so there is really nothing to get about the jokes in it, but what's laughable about the show is the exaggerated nature in the retort of every character in the show making the title that means 'Everyday Life' an irony which also makes me wonder why 'Slapstick' isn't one of its genre.

I've read the manga and its proves to be so boring that I can't get past 1 skit so I think KyoAni has done a great job on Nichijou because the adaptation was really entertaining for me and the animation was fluid and varying with each scenes throughout the series and they had a great time maintaining the light drawn atmosphere with less CGs in the show.

and...I'm not totally praising the show since the fact that the great moments just compensated to the lame moments of the show. The show is a trial and error, they presented a lot of short animation for people to pick what they like and whatnot. It's like a chain of events of events that had hardly even progressed and as a short animation fest the feeling is relevant to when you watch a skit before a comedy show for conditioning yourself into it means you'll remember what you have watch as funny but it will be easily forgotten.

All the creaters do anymore is find an anime that was really popular, make similar characters, have a similar plot, make a few changes here or there, and wala! new anime! Same for the ones that come from manga. They find any fucking manga that has a high fanbase and give it a contract, despite the fact that there are MUCH better manga out there with REAL stories and characters. But hey, what do I know. I've only been watching this shit longer than most of you bastards have even been alive. Fucking noobs.
^This!
I watched hidan no aria and it looked somewhat promising at first with the gun action..and then supernatural power showed up and everything went downhill from there.

It is also the reason why the devs wont be releasing hidan no aria season 2 because there werent enough hidan no aria dvds sold

Its because of the number of fanservice thrown in that they believe they can get away with some shitty plot

Hidan no aria <<-- nothing to say.
Hanasaku Iroha <<-- not disappointing but it makes me disappointed. Started promisingly but for me it's not as good as it should be (though it's still pretty good)
