if you would have to say which animes you think are legends now which would you choose?
and remember i am not asking which anime you like the most or you dont like, just the animes that have become really popular with people and have gone a step further than other anime.

the ones i believe are legendary are:

Dragonball series (i consider it to be 1st since everyone from adults to little kids know dragonball nowadays)

Naruto

Bleach

One Piece

Full Metal Alchemist

Yu-Gi-Oh! series

Pokemon (even though it is a bit childish now, i know everyone must have watched it when you were younger)

Slayers

Kateikyoushi Hitman Reborn! (it's getting there in its own way i believe)

and i am not so sure about these but InuYasha and D.Gray-Man could be considered as well

DBZ? Yes.
Naruto? No.
Bleach? Hell no.
OP? No. Fails as anime.
FMA? I liked the first one where they actually HAD gore.
Yu-Gi-Oh? Fuck Yugioh, I play Magic.
Pokemon? No, show killed everything they had going for them. Just like Yugioh.
Hitman Reborn? Nada.
InuYasha? Maybe. But after 600 something episodes, it felt like Detective Conan all over again.
D.Gray-man? Meh. Manga's better.

Yup. Those animes are far from being "legendary".

Seriously, where's Neon Genesis Evangelion? The only thing I can agree with is DBZ. Most legendary titles should have actually been aired before 2000. Only a few titles after 2000 make that status. TTGL is one of them I suppose.

This I agree upon. May be classified legendary later on though. However, it does make you wonder. How old does an anime have to be, or what kind of image does it need to have to actually reach legendary status?
