Ok I understand now, and just to let you know the first one that got me hooked was Yu Yu Hakusho and indeed Elfen Lied and Ponyo have nothing to do with the conversation, it just tells me things. Also, THAT is what I'm trying to talk about, you start talking about anime's which most people wouldn't class as extreme fanservice and throughout this whole conversation I've been talking about my dislike for the focus on EXTREME, emphasis on the extreme, fanservice and then you decide to plop in an anime irrelevant to those terms, HSOTD hooks you in and does everything right and your trying to make it into the same category as Queen's Blade? You clearly have no idea what I'm talking about. From my point of view, you are arguing against my hate anime with only over the top ecchiness and trying to banter it down with anime not even reaching that standard.

Also, dude, calm down, there's no need to get all pissy over a F O R U M post, everyone has there opinion, I'm not intending to upset you. There is no reason one should get annoyed from discussing anime. Heck I enjoy talking about anime on this thread in fact, believe me I haven't typed this much in a long time (well since uni ended for the term). So, just take a chill pill and relax, i'm not gonna hurt you.

Big boobs and nipples don't bother me (who doesn't like boobs? ). I just don't like panty shot after panty shot, especially if it's of high schoolers or the petite young looking girls. Makes me feel weird. :|

I just named a few anime in order to answer question. I knew it would be a mistake because you have like to reclassify things as you see fit; MY examples aren't extreme cases of fanservice but YOUR examples are. There's going to be no way to discuss anything with you if everything, even my answers, has to be 100% your way.

Telling someone they are getting upset and that they should calm down generally are known to have the opposite effect. I have only been disagreeing with you, try not to confuse that with me being upset, and not emotionally involved in this conversation. The one that has openly said this situation has upset them emotionally have been you.

Enough finger pointing. I only came here to say fanservice isn't going to be the end of the world and isn't doing any more harm to the anime industry than other genres/theme. Whether or not writers could be making something "better" doesn't matter because not every writer want to make something artsy just because they can.
