Simple question: Should there be an anime-adaption of the wellknown series Psyren?
And to add more points to the discussion: How many episodes would be needed to stick close enough to the manga-plot, 40,52 or even more?
Should an adaption stick close to the plot or should there be a little more room for character development (I felt that the manga lacked a bit of that except for the 2 male protagonists but I haven't read the whole thing yet), e.g. filler-episodes (the manga has some filler-like sidestories though)?
Is it realistic that any long-running series (manga) like Bleach/Naruto/One piece will get an anime (it seemed to me that most series either won't get an anime adaption (since the 2000's most of the anime are 12/13 or 24/26 episodes, leaving less space in the scedules for longer series) or do you think studios tend to pick shorter series for TV nowadays?
Well then, let the discussion begin:
I myself think there should be an adaption because Psyren is one of the few series that felt like a "real" Shounen-Manga (like Eden no Ori,Mirai Nikki and Deadmen Wonderland, not those typical romantic comedy type that aren't entertaining nor have any romance in it, the worst kind

), presenting a
world-is-in-a-pinch-and-needs-to-be-saved-by-our-heroes-setting that's so stereotypical for the best/epic Shounen series.
It should be kept as close to the Manga as possible since the story is good enough as it is. This anime needs to have 40-52 episodes, I don't think it will be any good if 15 volumes are forced into 26 episodes..
Last but not least about realism... It's sad to think so but I don't think it will make it into an anime (like Cage of Eden, that one would be awesome though) because of all the brutal deaths and the blood and the presumably long running-time of nearly a year and high costs for production.
Ok,now it's your turn, tell me what you think
