Any guesses on how long this 2nd season will last?

I honestly hope it goes on for 4 years like the 1st, it's definitely one of the better action comedy shows that I can think of, however I doubt they can pull off another 200 odd episodes.

Also will it be in widescreen? They joked about it a lot near the latter stages of the 1st season, how it was 2010 and yet they're still broadcasting in 4:3.

Yes it will be widescreen and named as Gintama Kai.

Ah just watched it and as First! says (thanks for the info), it's finally in widescreen too. Great PV, looks like they've done a lot of content already, particularly with Kamui and Otose.

Really looking forward to it now.
