Depends on the anime. Infinite Stratos and Macross Frontier are good with it but in things like Blassrieter or anything else I don't particularly like it.

It's looks out of place and is crap. Refer to any mecha series made by Gonzo for evidence. In some anime, such as Macross Zero, it's passable... but it'll never beat traditional animation for mecha like in Evangelion and TTGL, or airplanes like in The Wings of Honneamise, which by the way are all made by Gainax. Just sayin.

Someday we will all sit around, and when I sit around I mean lay prone in our hover chairs with large cables coming out of the back of our heads connected to the Galaxy Web connection, laughing about the crappy CGI we use to put up with and comparing it to our new and improved totally immersed reality games and anime. Except ofcourse for that last Gundam series brought out by Sunrise. Yes they will still be in buisness due to their complete domination of the fast food market with their Gundam deli's and Gundam Burgers and Gundam Happy meals.

If it looks out of place, it will be a hell lot awful. There are very few exceptions though

This also is old news. God, I am so old... so old...

The first we saw of computer graphics (of any sort, in any capacity) in animation was in the American TV series [Only registered and activated users can see links. ]. At the time it was televised, nobody wondered if the battle scene animation style was appropriate because we were too busy falling in love with it. It was the coolest thing we'd ever seen. I couldn't find any stills so here's [Only registered and activated users can see links. ]

Fall in love with the crappy cgi they use? No thanks mate.

I don't think you should be able to call yourself a fan of mecha anime if you like that crap tbh.
