Apart from the usual kids orientated stuff like Pokemon, Digimon, Yu-Gi-Oh etc there's not much at all in the UK, at least on standard terrestrial TV. Channel 4 used to air Fist of the North Star way way back when and have also put stuff like Blood: The Last Vampire, Akira and Ghost in the Shell on but these are pretty much cult classics and were all dubbed.
There's just a different culture and mindset, you can easily disregard anything drawn as a "kid's cartoon" and therefore there won't be many who will watch it. With few people watching, the channel rating goes down so they don't bother putting any anime on, even extremely mainstream/popular stuff like Fullmetal Alchemist. |
