Well... in my country they gave us on local TV Sailor Moon, Pokemon, Digimon and Beyblade. Some where in japanese with subs and some were dubbed in croatian.

They took Sailor Moon off for..... many small reasons. Pokemon is still on, but sad. Digimon got canned and all us fans are like wtf. Beyblade is still here re mixed but still intolerable as I remember

Channel Ten in Australia airs anime around 7:00am - 8:00am every weekday. Though by anime, I mean like Beyblade and Pokemon, none of which I watch.

Problem is anime channels always seem to die early. Seems the only financially viable thing is to put some on the other channels, but I've not seen one for ages besides Pokemon.

Toonami died quickly because one and only one reason. They would overthrow the American cartoon. Anime is so varied that it's still cool to watch when you are old. Their animation is 1000% better than any cartoon. The story is very solid and sometime had more meaning than just mindless episodic like this country's cartoon. The reason they still keep Pokemon, Beyblade, Bakugan because they are childish. They still keep DB kai but edit it for so many reason. Even the DBZ movie got edited like there is no tomorrow. Now, just think that Rurouni Kenshin come back and ppl would watch it everyday.

And for the question about western TVs ... well yeah they air anime like Naruto, Bleach and other known stuff but srsly .... let them burn along with the TV cause when it's not in original language it sucks big time ... like those voice actors are about to sleep and stuff :/

I don't think anime can exist on Western TV.

They put to much Precedence on if it will bring in money, and they censor out most of the stuff that makes the anime unique, not some copy. That's why you don't see Fairy Tail in US tv, it would be a crappy, censored, turd which would make people rage even more.
