I... kinda liked it although I'm not 100% on whats going on haha. But I agree with an above post, it was pretty trippy, kinda didn't see that coming. Oh well, I haven't seen nanoha which might be why I enjoy it than some others I see posting. I'll stick with it to see what's goin' down.

I couldn't fully comprehend what's going on either. But there's more than enough to keep me interested. Definitely enjoy the random & abstract background that's typical of Shaft.

I was expecting this to be good, since the commercials for this keep showing up in my anime last season and I found that annoying. I watched it and don't know what to make of it yet.

The animation throw me into a loop with the Hidamari Sketch like characters with the strange Bakemonogatari like backgrounds.

Well, it's by SHAFT and is trippy, so I'm going to check this out. Hopefully the visual style doesn't disappoint. Also, I hope Shinbou doesn't get too out of control this time :O

I got this feeling at the start. Everything was so lovey-dovey and slice-of-lifey. But let's just say that SHAFT didn't disappoint on the visual/being trippy department. We got to see glimpses of that magic world (or dream world, whatever), and will definitely see more now that Madoka and Sayako have made their promises. Well, they didn't really make them yet, but yeah.

God characters and more crazy magical stuff will keep me interested. I mean, it's SHAFT. Anything could happen. Also, I get to hear more of Chiwa Saito <3

OMG Episode 2 yay!

Mami's a gun freak haha. I find it kinda refreshing though that she can have a TON of guns and use a bunch of different powers rather than one item and some silly chant to make it work :B. But I kinda felt like we're moving at a slow pace... either that or I'm just eager to see Madoka in her costume.

Anybody think that Sayaka's person in a hospital flashback and the "it's worst when witches haunt a hospital" is foreshadow, yes yes?

So it's about a battle between the 2 sides. Plot seems pretty straightforward but knowing Shaft, I'm hoping there's gonna be some twist to it. First time ever see a witch who looked like that.

Im sold on the animation, but the story seems slow to fully flesh its self out. So, they fight the witches for their seeds so that they can refill their magic, but thats it? Theres no "kill x witches or find something special besides seeds and you will be free from your contract"? If there is, its stupid to wait til later on to tell us, cause then we will be slightly lost.

Also, why does it seem that if they use the witch seeds to take the dark out of their own seeds, that they are just putting more darkness into the world?

I think Mami isn't telling Madoka and Sayaka everything and that Homura wasn't just trying to get rid of potential competion, but was actually trying to warn Madoka about something.
When Mami uses the grief seed to restore her power it looks like the seed sucked something out of her gem, something dark. That along with what Homura said, makes me wonder if maybe the witches are actually magical girls who have been corrupted by their own power.
