Default How does the filtering look? - 11-20-2010, 12:10 AM

well I'm not quite sure where I should post this, if this is the wrong section than please move it to the right place.

so was looking some time into avisynth about filtering etc. and I experimented with some animes (SD,HD).
I want to know if you like what I've done or not

This here is mainly sharpened and some little things like debanding etc.

so how does it look? is it too much sharpened or is it exactly right (this anime is btw only a test)

and here is a sample

I think sharpen levels look perfect.

You should probably consider encoding it at a lower resolution, eg 720p. Keeping the "original" resolution always gives the best result, looks the best. I know 1920x1080 is the Bluray resolution, but that is NOT the original resolution.

I guess I should reduce the sharpening a bit.

yes I'm making a 720p version, but how do come to that this is not the original resolution?
