I look around forums, websites, etc; and I see all these confusing names I've never heard of before. I get the feeling of not knowing where to start.

I used to be really into anime when I was a bit younger.
I helped maintain the downloads on a website known as Daiphyer.com, and again on HSBsitez. Dealing with a lot of the anime we kept on the site helped me learn more about the different series that people liked.
Then I stopped doing that. o.o

Now I feel like I don't know anything. I don't know what is on-going besides Bleach, Naruto and One Piece.

How do you guys stay on top of things? word of mouth, anime news sites, or something else?

I know what you mean... I usually keep track of things via rss feeds, twitter and the like.. and of course, good 'ol randomc

@unknownfact2, gonna bookmark that countdown website. Seems pretty useful. I noticed that one of the links you mentioned was in another language (spanish I think)

As for staying current with recent and ongoing anime, AT and sites like those listed by Unknown.

One of the biggest and best ways though is by staying active in forums like this one at AT. I have came across a lot of good anime through fellow members. I mean that's what we are all here for after all.
