I'm 40 so I go way back to watching Speed Racer, Star Blazers (Yamato), Battle of the Planets (Gatchaman) and others. However, it wasn't until Robotech (Macross, etc.) that I really started watching anime as a fanatic.

About 3 years ago I was home sick from school and I ended up renting utawaremono (or w/e it's called) on netflix on my xbox. That got me interested in looking at other series, and the rest is history.

I know about anime early from tv (future boy Conan, grendizer) then huge gap. didn't know about how Japan producing anime like india produce Bollywood movies, didn't know most if not all start with manga then get adapted until 2009. I think it started again with an anime movie Sword of the Stranger which led me to bleach movie then to the series and ALL HELL BROKE LOOOSE

I grew up watching the basics things like Dragon Ball Z,Pokemon etc.. When i was about 9 so 2004 i was watching toonami and loved watching Cowboy Bebop,Naruto etc then i just watched random series here and there then what hooked me was Death Note the story and art etc really made me become a fan, from then on i have been watching most of the airing series buying all the shows i enjoy a lot

I am addicted to watching anime because its a type of product that has something in every genre so i am never bored, The stories and Art really keep me hooked on watching.
So the bottom line i keep watching because of the variety of shows anime has to offer each and every season

the drawing actually(especially the girls and mecha ) but also the storyline,OST,and wide variety of genres
how can you addicted to watch anime...?
first watch and then get addicted then download series and movies and then bought some goods relate to anime and i even taught myself to play e.guitar and violin

I started being addited when i first saw "chobits" then i started to watch other animes and mangas.then i got to pictures,cute names,then video of them (anime).
sooo...*smiles* it'll was so cute i couldn't stand it!.

I started being addicted to the anime 10 years ago. I first started watching Pokemon, then, Naruto. The reason is that the stories of both animes are just well made.

He gave me THE LOOK.
He literally tied me to the chair.(I was small btw)
and forced me to watch bleach.
After my brain turned to jelly, i started to watch on my own.
Quite a travma i must say.

Started all the way back from Yu Yu Hakusho to Magic Knights Rayearth. Officially started taking interest in anime when I saw DNA2(yh yh...) and then saw more anime in Animax so .... there goes my life.

Well, also for the fact that my older brother watches anime too.
