Star Driver: Kagayaki no Takuto


Synopsis
To the south of Japan, there lies a lush green island called Southern Cross Isle. One night, a boy by the name of Takuto Tsunashi washes up on the shore of the island alone. Having swum from the mainland alone and without any possessions, this boy enrolls in the senior high level in the school on the island - Southern Cross High School.

With his bright and positive personality, he starts to mix with various students in the school and builds relationships with many of them, including Wako Agemaki and Sugata Shindou. But this school hides a deep secret. There are sleeping giants hidden under the ground called "Cybuddies".

There are about 20 of these giants, and they are just some of the various secrets kept by everyone on the island: The secret movements of the mysterious organization known as "Kirahoshi Juujidan". The songs of the shrine maidens. And even Takuto himself will soon come to embrace a great secret...

This island in the southern territories surrounded by the blue sea and the blue skies is the stage where the "Eulogy of Youth" filled with love, dreams and friendships, will begin.

Finished watching the fabulous first episode. Had lots of lulz on the silliness and gayness of the show but I liked it though the story didn't make sense. Hoping for some explanation in the next episode.

I almost thought there'd be no OP since it was so late. The episode was interesting despite the lack of explaination of what the hell is going on.

How can you say that something that comes from bones, is unexpected to be interesting. And it was not "interesting", it was amazing btw. By far the best of the episodes that were released so far this season (still a few more series to air that i have big hopes tho)
I won't get hyped over this, because i do that too much with first episodes... but right now i can't wait for episode 2.

I thought that the main character will get his power unexpectedly like other shows, but he already have it in him. I don't really like mecha fights, but this one was great. :3

true, anything that comes from bones usually is, it's just the ending to the series that gets to me (soul eater anyone?) but still I'm gonna watch it since that was a pretty awesome episode.

knew it was awsome from just watching the trailer a few weeks ago, and ive been waiting for a new mecha anime (although bones last robot series heroman was rather shit well thats cause marvel can't write good giant robot stories anyway they should leave it to the japanese) and im liking the main character especially the voice actor he was in durararara and death note i think

Meh, I didn't really enjoy watching that.

Maybe it will get better in the next ep, but if it stays the same I'm dropping this.
