ANN synopsis - Cencoroll's story begins when a giant monster sends a town's citizens into a panic — except for a girl named Yuki and her acquaintance Tetsu. Tetsu happens to have his own strange creature named Cenco as a pet. Another boy appears in the town and controls the monster threatening the people, and the stage is set for a battle.

Uki Atsuya, often referred to the one man animation team finally got backing for Cencoroll after 4 years. Apparently, Aniplex plans to release it this year (yay!)

Synopsis from Anime Innovation Tokyo - SUZU, a descendent of a distinguished shaman who saved people from catastrophe in the past. SUZU sets out on a journey, along with the spirit of nature, COLUBOCCORO, to regain peace and nature to the ruined villages. Seems to have a spirited away feel which isn't a bad thing.

so its finally being released? was supposed to be late 2008... oh well as long as it gets released ~ thought it was dropped/cancelled.

grave-digging this up for some good news

According to Anime!Anime!, the new anime movie "CENCOROLL" will be shown at New York Anime Festival 2009 to be held from September 25 - 27. The movie will be premiered on August 22nd in Japan.

now to wait for news on the dvd release for a fansub... couldnt be *too* far off anyways.

giving it very high marks... building up my anticipation even more. although i was disappointed to read that there isnt much of a soundtrack after hearing the trailer song

no word on dvd release (that i know of) just yet...

thats what the review is based off. like i say, no idea when dvd will be available unfortunately.

I'm a lazy ass so that'd be nice. Seems like it'll be here pretty soon from what you've quoted yourself saying.

I need to watch more animated movies. So far I'm at a count of like 2. Oh woops, I mean Japanese animated movies.

Edit: Girls being eaten by something like that is full of win.
