Guys, anyone know when will the new season of D.gray-man will start? I've been waiting for this like... 4ever... I've check on every possible sites... and none, I know that the manga ain't finished yet (checked on the scanslations from time to time). Is there an OVA or Movie coming???... Any news that might shed a light on this is greatly appreciated... Thanks!

I haven't heard any news at all about a second season
They could release an OVA like you said, that'd probably get released in a few months
But yeah, look at Hajime no Ippo and that's the possible worst case, well apart from it never happening

What I've heard (on this site, a while ago) was that D-gray was halted because it got too close to the manga, and rather than go into a crap filler season like some other long running series, they halted.

From another site, I have also heard that the manga hadn't managed to actually gain ground yet on the anime because the person who does the manga injured her wrist, and thus, the manga was slated to get going again in early March or April - sometime around now.

Thus, though I haven't checked it myself, the manga should just have restarted again at chapter 170 or 180 - whatever it was at. It still, however, is way too close to the anime currently, so I wouldn't expect the anime to start back up again - if it does - until the first quarter anime season of next year.

As far as I know the second thing you said is correct
I know that the manga was definitely on a break for a while and has just started up again recently, I wouldn't say the anime is too close to start up again though

yeah the manga had stopped for a while and it just recently got started back i say probably end of this yr it might start up again

I hate to rain on people's parade, but from my general understanding, the D. Gray Man anime is over, regardless of further manga material. Of course, this is based purely off hearsay from 2ch, so it isn't 100% credible. There might be a movie or an OVA, but as far as the regular season goes, I don't expect it to return.

Thanks guys, yeah, I heard that the manga has started just recently from it's standstill, still I was hoping for a continuation on the anime series, guess we have to wait and see... OVA & Movie??? I hope so...

If they're just gonna do an OVA or movie I'd rather they just left it alone, I'd rather just carry on reading the manga, an OVA or movie would only make me want another series more

Now for more good news. We have heard and have quite a lot of evidence that the D.Gray-Man anime will indeed go on. They are simply taking a break so that the anime does not catch up to the manga. Some people are saying the anime will start again in October, which would mean not even a break at all really, and some are saying they will start in late December. We have heard from a member of our site who knows someone who worked for the d.gray-man anime and the anime will continue, we just don’t know when episode 104 will air in Japan “
