DVDs you should be allowed to rip no matter what, forget about incorporating short portions into new works and such. I realize it's probably done for piracy more often than to just have a personal copy, but they can already go after the infringement so why take away a right that was there before, aside from forcing you to make another purchase every time the disc gets scratched or the medium becomes obsolete?
