Lol Kalectras, stop making the background into a border.

Just make a new layer, apply image go to edit and stroke on 2 pixels or 1 pixel and then create another layer and grab the Rectangular Marquee tool and then select the area by using the tool(just drag it from a corner to the other corner and then think about the height then grab the paintbucket thingy tool and fill the selected area with black or w/e color you stroked with.
