It's only like 40 cents per blank disc so it's not that much money, and time isn't that big a deal either. Unless you are actually encoding them to DVD format in which case that is a waste of time/money. And for redownloading... That's if it's still there. I find after about a year (if not sooner) most torrents and mu links are dead.
The only two series I've ever flat out deleted are School Days (I only kept the OVAs) and Princess Lover.
