i save anything i watch based purely on my own re-watch-able score. If i dont think id i ever want to watch it again, away it goes into the recycle bin. If i think i might like to watch it again at some point... first i attempt to establish that i have the best possible version of the show (getting a better version if available) and then i store it.

generally speaking though, i try to get the best possible version before i watch it anyways. as for what that pertains to... bitrate/resolution/widescreen/sound quality(i use headphones so not too picky but i need it to NOT sound like shit)/sub quality. sub quality is the trickiest of them all though... i prefer a more... "comfortable" translation rather than "accurate" ~ id rather appreciate what the translation is attempting to say rather than the literal translation.
