The question is though, does he need a bankai? Seriously, so far we've seen him fight full hot headed, head on 1 v 1. The moment he went off the holigan style to a more developed style (Kendo) he pawned. Makes you wonder what he'll be like if he knew one of em fancy chinese sword fighting styles, or even if he simply tried to fight like the others where he would avoid the attack, and aim for weak/blind spots.
