Im kind of interested in physics...sadly im to stupid to study it, however im looking at a german series called "Alpha Centauri" where a genius proffessor simply explain physikquestions and question about the Universe.

And under todays thearotically formulas its possible that aliens excist.
However its impossible that aliens are traveling to the earth.
Simply cause it cost to much time.
Well lets say...they are so lucky they are only "some" millions lightyears away from us...or lets just say 100.000 light years....which is nearly impossible, but let me explain it with such "short" distance.

1.
If they travel with the speed of light (which is from ouer theoritcal expierence impossible) they need alone 100.000 years to reach us. thats a long time in a single spaceship..even if they travel with warp 100 or so its still 1000 years.

2.
To the main problem...time is differentiated at the speed of light.
if u travel on the speed of light time stops for u...but not for the rest of the universe...for u whos traveling with the speed of light alone 100.000 years...in the rest of the universe i could by millions or milliards/billions of years are already gone.
Its says if u travel with "nearly" the speed of light for 12 seconds, on earth 76 years are gone.
If u think that the highest possibilty is that they are millions of lightyears away from us, if they travel to us, billions(in amer. [milliards for the normal people here]) are gone and we dont even exist anymore...

3.
When u travel at the speed of light Ur volume will drastically increase (cause of e = mc² )...a golfball would be after 1/2 hour be as big as the jupiter when it travels at the speed of light.

4.
If there are any aliens that managed in 5 milliards years of time (thats how long solid planets exists) managed to travel at speed of light they would reach us in millions or milliard of years at would be as big as u cant imagine.
they would be bombered with rays(from the suns)

5.IF they managed to create a time/space bubble where these effects dont work...why the fuck would they attack us..in the universe are plenty of resourrces....its said they are even planets of gold.... why would they attack such insignificant polluted planed with limited recources.

so dont even think about and alien attack its nearly impossoble and if they come we have no chance(perhabs our bacterias maybe or so)

the biggest enemy out in the universe are meteorits/asteroids (possible in the next 100 years) and rayburst (not so possible i think 1/1x10^23)

cause of the meteors i want nuclear weapons staioned in the orbit...i know it sounds stupid but i would feel saver^^
