As a Canadian I would like to ask my countryman to please share whatever strange brew he's been imbibing.
And this will be one of the few times I agree with ac195, if aliens that have the technology to travel interstellar distances decide to use that for warfare, we're buggered.
I will be honest in saying that I don't doubt that there is some military brain trust somewhere (I realize that is something of an oxymoron) working through invasion scenarios.
As for who would start such an interstellar war, I'm withholding comment on that one...
