Volture Says:

No, .ru stands for a Russian website. The subs themselves are in English.

Yes… Give 720p

WsE Says:
January 25th, 2010 at 8:59 pm

If [Naruto-Base.Ru] got grammar/mistakes w/e it doesn’t have anything to do with them since they’re ripping the subs T_T

Naruto-Base.Ru Says:
January 25th, 2010 at 9:06 pm

We like HS does not edit the subtitles and what subtitles are subtitles on crunchyroll.com we sews … If there is a desire to write to the style of the subtitles … Chesnokov tell us these rips are not needed … and doing it all in only 2 cases where no HS or when nothing to do …

rag_iit Says:
January 25th, 2010 at 9:09 pm

@Naruto-base

Its a good thing that you’re providing Crunchyrips… Please provide both 480p and 720p for anime for which Crunchy provides both 480p and 720p

Naruto-Base.Ru Says:

Glad to help! Just a crunchyroll restriction by Region …! So what ripnut some anime have to sit with the proxy … Alas, but for Russia from their site more than 100 kbytes per second does not … If you would still be able RIP RAW Fairy Tail – 15_ 720 put together … Way animetake.com of English sites to my favorite ^___^!

CostlyAxis Says:
January 26th, 2010 at 3:04 am

The last few episodes have been iffy with me, but I feel this episode makes up for that mostly.

@ Darkfire208: It had subs for me (both the 480p and 720p) so I don’t know what’s happening with you. I use KMPLayer though.

Darkfire208 Says:
January 26th, 2010 at 3:07 am

hmm okay, I’ll try that player then, thanks

Darkfire208 Says:
January 26th, 2010 at 3:12 am

Its working for me now :) apparently VLC media player doesnt work with this file lol

XHollowNarutoUchihaX Says:
January 26th, 2010 at 3:26 am

@Darkfire208
dude dont use VLC xD i advise u to use either KMPlayer or Media Player Classic =) VLC always gave me problems when playing files i downloaded from here while the other two worked fine =) oh and also download CCP Codec Pack its one of the best and most up to date codec packs ull find in the net for viewing MKV and many other files decently =)

JohnNamikaze Says:
January 26th, 2010 at 5:05 am

@XHollowNarutoUchihaX

I never had problem with VLC, most of the time is the video that has the problem not the player. If by any chance there is a problem, I use Format Factory to convert the video exactly how it is and never gave me problem. I advise anyone that uses VLC, to have v1.0.2, for it is the best version out there.

Don’t always blame VLC for it’s problem and the reason why again?

1. Encoders can screw up sometimes
2. Video got corrupted through downloading.
3. Need to update the video player.
4. Computer is too old.

Most of the time reason number 4 is not the cause of the problem, but can be possible.

I would advise to use Format Factory, for it can repair videos and convert any video you want for free. It is one of the best free software found in the internet beside CCleaner. :)

Booyadude Says:
January 26th, 2010 at 5:10 am

Or, more likely, the problem is VLC. Now, why doesn’t everyone here just pull their head out of their ass and read the FAQ?

JohnNamikaze Says:
January 26th, 2010 at 5:14 am

@Booyadude

I did have problem with VLC, but I always find away around it watch 720p and 1080p videos perfectly. :)

Booyadude Says:
January 26th, 2010 at 5:23 am

Good for you, feel free to continue using your inferior, waste of time, and generally lower quality playback solution. However most of the complaints we get from other people are related to VLC, or KMPlayer, or some other player they shouldn’t be using.

Why use workarounds and/or convert your videos when you can just watch them correctly and in higher quality with the CCCP/MPC?

Konatachi Says:
January 26th, 2010 at 5:26 am

Inb4changes comment

Booya can you please upload 720p ;D

Booyadude Says:
January 26th, 2010 at 5:27 am

I believe rag_iit intends to upload both HorribleSubs versions when they finish seeding them.

JohnNamikaze Says:
January 26th, 2010 at 5:30 am

@Booyadude

Thanks I appreciate using inferior video player, for I use superior converter/encoder(Format Factory) to repair or upscale videos in less than 25 mins. :D :)

Booyadude Says:
January 26th, 2010 at 5:39 am

No, you’re using an inferior converter/encoder/gui/frontend as well. If you wanted the best upscaling quality, you’d be using Avisynth+nnedi2 and some lossless codec as your output. This is of course, barely distinguishable from just using CCCP/MPC-HC and using ffdshow with Spline36resize to upscale your videos on playback.

Also, there’s something seriously wrong if you have to repair you videos constantly. Either you’re using dialup to download your videos, or it’s VLC, as usual.

JohnNamikaze Says:
January 26th, 2010 at 5:48 am

@Booyadude

I have very fast Internet service, but I don’t get much problem from VLC, and 99.9% of the time I use Format Factory to upscale 480p video.

I preferly don’t like to use .avi file so I convert it to .mkv, because of the new codec h.264 . :D

I still appreciate you for telling me this. :)

Booyadude Says:
January 26th, 2010 at 6:00 am

You can get much better quality by simply using the ffdshow avisynth filter that comes with CCCP to upscale. http://commiesubs.wordpress.com/2010/01/04/how-to-nicely-resize-videos-on-playblack/

Lossy conversion will always, as the name suggests, lose quality, so upscaling on playback is better than converting your videos.

JohnNamikaze Says:
January 26th, 2010 at 6:04 am

@Booyadude

I appreciate the information your giving me, but answer me this question. :)

Why do I get better video quality when I convert .avi to .mkv? :confused:

blueskyy Says:
January 26th, 2010 at 6:12 am

@JohnNamikaze

Technically, you’ve got all the facts right. Yes, re-encoding does fix file format incompatibility issues on those unfortunate instances you outlined.

I can’t say much about “Format Factory” though because I have never used it before; I use Avisynth for most of my video conversion. :)

Booyadude seems to be pissed on something… He was going way off base…

Booyadude Says:
January 26th, 2010 at 6:13 am

You don’t.

blueskyy: Where is this base and when did I leave it?

blueskyy Says:
January 26th, 2010 at 6:15 am

@JohnNamikaze

You’re getting better video quality when you convert avi to mkv? That’s 100% impossible!

blueskyy Says:
January 26th, 2010 at 6:17 am

@Booyadude

He didn’t talk about resizing until you brought it into the picture.

Booyadude Says:
January 26th, 2010 at 6:18 am

Thanks I appreciate using inferior video player, for I use superior converter/encoder(Format Factory) to repair or upscale videos in less than 25 mins. :D :)

JohnNamikaze Says:
January 26th, 2010 at 6:18 am

@blueskyy

Then my eyes are getting better. :D :sarcasm:

blueskyy Says:
January 26th, 2010 at 6:33 am

@Booyadude

Yes, he did mention it in passing, but you were the one who turn it into a discussion along with a string of condescending remarks.

WsE Says:
January 26th, 2010 at 6:38 am

Booyadude simply gave him advise on not to use VLC. For obvious reasons.

JohnNamikaze Says:
January 26th, 2010 at 6:41 am

@WsE

Like you said, I appreciate Booyadude’s advice, but if I can figure out the problem, then the advice is pretty much useless, unless VLC goes complete AWOL on me, yet it has not happened. :)

WsE Says:
January 26th, 2010 at 6:48 am

Ah well, It’s your boat, not mine ^_^

JohnNamikaze Says:
January 26th, 2010 at 6:51 am

@WsE

lol.

Booyadude Says:
January 26th, 2010 at 6:59 am

blueskyy: I did not make any such remarks after that point. I would not call that passing, either, seeing as it is his main use for the program he mentioned. I simply attempted to convince him to improve his own viewing experience by using a superior, higher quality playback solution. However, judging by his latest comment, he is satisfied with the low quality that he is getting now, and is one of the stubborn ones that willing ignorance prevents me from convincing.

Oh well, I tried.

JohnNamikaze Says:
January 26th, 2010 at 7:04 am

@Booyadude

Its alright, if VLC ever goes AWOL on me completely, then I will take your advice seriously. :)

sn:Can you have CCCP with MPC player installed at the same time with VLC already installed or I have to unistall VLC to have CCCP work properly. :confused:

Booyadude Says:
January 26th, 2010 at 7:08 am

Why wait for it to break when you can just use something better?

They can be installed at the same time with no problems.

JohnNamikaze Says:
January 26th, 2010 at 7:33 am

@Booyadude

Thanks a lot I just installed it, now I don’t have to be ignorant of what I’m saying, for sometimes I feel stupid without having enough knowledge to backup my opinion. :) :D

GogetaSS4 Says:
January 26th, 2010 at 7:39 am

I use GOTsent to convert MKV’s to MP4 for my Xbox 360 and PS3. It has setting specifically for them. Also it hard subs the soft subs without quality loss. I love it.

JohnNamikaze Says:
January 26th, 2010 at 7:43 am

Now the only problem I’m facing is that I can’t play .avi or .flv on CCCP, but .mkv is fine.

knightsaint Says:
January 26th, 2010 at 8:24 am

Frankly speaking u shouldn’t have any problems playin .avi or .flv usin cccp.

JohnNamikaze Says:

Forget what I said, I just fixed, so .avi and .flv are working fine now. :)

Gyzome Says:
January 27th, 2010 at 10:39 pm

@The VLC vs CCCP War: VLC in itself is fine for almost all file formats. The only one that tends to give trouble is mkv. I advice to do what I’m planning to do: install CCCP and associate MPlayer only with mkv, while leaving all other formats associated with VLC. This gives ease of use with most common file formats while still having superior viewing enjoyment from mkv’s.

illl4ever Says:
January 28th, 2010 at 12:25 am

I guess ryugan is slow as usual ?

JohnNamikaze Says:
January 28th, 2010 at 4:00 am

@Gyzome

I do the same thing as well since all of the problems I get from VLC is .mkv with 1080p quality, so I use CCCP to watch it without lag or glitch. :)
