Why didn’t you use the horriblesubs subs with the 720p raw?

it wasn’t a soft sub or something it was hmm like embedded in the video couldn’t take i did type most of it tho
you will find some errors

You should check out a program called SubRip. It should beable to handle most mkv’s but if it doesn’t handle the particular mkv you’re working with you could take the video stream out of the mkv with MKVExtrackGUI 2 and then put it into an avi using AVC2AVI (with it’s GUI if preferred). If you do it that way make sure you rename the video’s extension to 264. You could also just use AVIDemux or Mediacoder and convert the mkv to an avi using the option to copy the video stream and only convert the audio to mp3. I think SubRip should handle most mkv’s so you’ll probably be fine.

It is hard (if it was as easy as turning it on and walking away I and many others would have been doing that every time a 360p came out) you have to train the program a lot cause it’s not very sure of itself at first and it asks you to confirm/correct a lot of the letters in the words but at least that way the timing is a cinch cause doing the timing by hand has gotta suck.

I know it’s hardsubbed after all it’s not like SubRip is a demuxer or anything. It’s an OCR program for extracting hardsubs.

Thanks for the 720 v2 yonku. Not bad at all. ^_^d Works just fine, though the text jumps the gun just a little at parts before the character speaks.

Next time you rip subs and remux (yes I realise it was a different process using OCR and tranposing by hand), and claim to have edited the script, please apply basic grammar, spell checking, and punctuation (this means no AOLese speak). There is especially no excuse if you transposed it by hand.

Without doing a formal report, there would have easily been 100 errors in that release.

INB4 wall of TL;DR response:
- Yes I am a fansubber
- Yes I am a QC
- Yes I am an editor
- Yes I am an encoder
- Yes I am a timer
- Yes I am a typesetter
- Yes I do simple karaoke
- Yes I know what I am talking about.

Leaving aside the timing issues (as one could not expect a first time attempt to be perfect in this area), it was a pretty sub-par release.

If English is not your first language, then try and find someone to join your “group” that can QC and bring the overall
release quality to par.

Hopefully you can improve from this level and release solid speed-rips.

I look forward to seeing what you are capable of.

yup English is not my first language,and yea i just did this randomly LOl, didn’t expect a lot of downloads tbh thx for advise my “group” is just me alone o,O so if people actually want to see release from me then, I’d be glade to make a proper one :P

Most groups start off as one person, and there are plenty of well known groups that operate as one or two man units.

Go find someone to QC or edit and you should be set to go.

So I guess the bottom line is that the subs are not that great? >.>

That’s too bad… I guess I’ll have to wait for Commie or a proper 720p rip of Horriblesub’s version, from what Jimmydorry said it seems as though yonku didn’t do a very stellar job at ripping the subs…

I’m not trying to be mean or arrogant, I appreciate people/groups who take the time to put out releases for the fans. However, I and many others like to watch anime with quality translations and proper timing, and with acceptable grammar.

Although, thank you yonku, for at least trying to help the fans. If you choose to continue, I hope you follow Jimmy’s advice and put out better releases in the future.
