yeah… its pretty much the same animation style of the stuff from the 80’s and 90’s like touch and h2. just slightly updated. probably cause the artist hasnt really changed his drawing style…

Its just like first season of Hajime no Ippo, the style of drawing adds to the sport/intense/emotional moments.
Hajime no ippo, wouldn’t be right without that animation style and same with Cross Game XD

I personally think this is one of the most under rated anime of the season..I put it on a web site and it has less views than the others by a good bit..I bet if the characters looked Clannad like it would of went through the roof.Great Story ^_^

It’s not that it’s under rated but rather unknown/ignored because most people are just like “Oh baseball /ignore”

I should have added that I would agree that it is one of the best series this season, if not the best. The only series on par/possibly better than this for me this season is eden of the east. :X

Agreed,I have Eden edging it out and Cross Game edging out Phantom..Phantom is unusual for me,I usually dont like that kind of anime..lol..Theres my 3 tops for the season.This episode of CG was a good one,he is inching closer to the sisters heart..ha ha ha
