Yea, its a new tipe of basketball, instead of having a big ball you play with a little and white one, you use gloves, and you hit her with a bat, i love this new basketball idea.

Does anyone know which fansub is subbing it with a quality that is worth burning a dvd with? I want to have it on DVD the full season with nice quality when the serie is finished.

Well, seeing as it’s supposedly going to be 51 episodes long, you may be burning quite a few DVDs. ANBU and Central Anime are both high quality groups, so it’s just a matter of preference from there.

Uhh, Krissanto, from that link you posted, you can see that MJN made a translation error on the seventh screenshot. Their encode is worse than Central Anime’s and their editing is worse than ANBU’s. I’m not sure why you would recommend them.

This author drags games out? Yeah, its a sports anime so games can last for a few episodes but this author is as much about drama/romance as he is about sports, sometimes more. Pure sports anime/mangas are the ones that drags a game/match forever.

Thanks kyoxiong99, from what i saw on the screenshots now i know which fansub i’ll download, you saved me from wasting some time, and thanks to you too booya, im going to download ANBU’s episodes.

ANBU is out. Awesome! So which do you guys prefer? I’m not one for fancy fonts or what not but I can’t seem to stand Central Anime’s font for some reason.

re MJN, they also “translated” Cross Game in the title screen when its already there in English :)

ANBU looks better no matter how you look at it, but MJN has been doing a good job on Major since season 1.. Now that I think abt it.. Why is Major not in Animetake?

Well, ANBU is superior in everything except the encode, which Central Anime wins. Major isn’t on AnimeTake for the same reason most other sports anime aren’t on it, that being that they suck.

@Sql: anbu is better than every other release hands down. Mjn has some errors, subsmith is J->C->E (so obviously theres gonna be errors). Central anime has a really annoying font. So basically anbu wins. Only things you might not like are the video quality (not like cross game as an anime has great visuals), and the editing.. Dunno about others but I prefer a more *literal* translation.

Ah I just spotted a translation error in ANBU.. It’s supposed to be a breaking ball not change-up. 変化球 (henkakyuu) means breaking ball, and SubSmith did a better job translating it as curve ball since curve is a part of breaking ball.

Not that it matters much but~ ^^;
and yeah baseball anime are cool ftw~!
