Cross Game Episode 1

First! Meh…

Nobody else was gonna post it, but I actually thought this was a pretty good first episode. Better than a few others I don’t care to mention.

You’ll eat your words later. I saw it yesterday, and it was a really beautiful episode… one of the best of the new season.

I am trying out every new anime this season hoping to fill the void of the last one but I still don’t have hopes for success.

Thanks for the post Booya. This looks like one of the anime’s I could like, among my broad range of tolerance for difference genera. This looks to have no super fight scenes, no epic battles, and the animation doesn’t seem all that epic either. It’s a “slice of life” style anime with a great story. And that can win over a series with wonderfully animated EPIC fight scenes and a story line that leaves you saying “Well that was lame.”

At first I thought that the character style looked old fashioned, but it was a very nice, bittersweet episode, very nicely done, I will follow this series if it keeps to this standard.

This was very surprising to me because I heard this anime was shit but I actually like it.

I’m still kind of shaking off this weird feeling. It seems to be a sports AND slice of life show, but I don’t hate it…

i think thats a typical adachi mitsuru manga… i could be wrong though. otoh queens blade ep 2 was a moderate improvement over ep1, although its not hard to improve over pure crap…

I read the Cross Game manga and I thought it’s really good.. Adachi’s signature style kinda story ^^

The first episode of this was good but damn it was sad.

Ooooh its a baseball anime. My interest in sports anime was sparked by H2, and they kinda look the same…same creator perhaps?

Anyone know what group is sticking with this?

ANBU and Central Anime are both good groups, who are also both likely to stick with it for all (possibly)51 episodes.

There is one problem though, all of Central Anime’s torrents are downloading really slowly. XD

Just read the first volume of the manga. As expected from a work of Mitsuru Adachi, it was awesome. Hope the anime is as good, but usually reading the manga first ruins watching the anime.

This is an absolutely fantastic series. Fully recommeneded!! I totally loved the ending too!! ^_^ Damn Awesome!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! XD 11/10 :D

I want a RAW épisode.. Because I can’t translate this épisodes.
