I don’t think there’s a manga for this one, but i’m not sure, though. It’s one of these animes which is made before the manga (and sometimes they make a manga to sell more)

awesome episode bout time i finnaly finished this series, but now beleave no other anime will ever beat this one’s expectations :D

If there is the tiniest chance that a major character might have died, then they are most certainly dead and never coming back under any circumstances. No anime has ever broken this rule, and none ever will. What more proof could you possibly need?

I completely agree with Rawfulmao . Akiyuki is alive .He just turned to stone because he used too much power of Xam’d ,but he wasn’t died .

i’m pretty sure akiyuki is alive at the end for two reasons:

1) since akiyuki gave his memories to the hiruken emperor he he forgot who he was and turned to stone. haru kept visiting his “grave” and kept telling him stories about himself until he finally remembered when he said something like ” i remember now”.
2) the stone is no longer there when haru sees akiyuki at the end.

Akiyuki isn’t “alive”. He was that giant rock where roppa and than gingoro thing was. It’s just, Haru still perceives him as alive. Wonderful series though. Bones never fails to surprise me.

I think I actually shed a tear or two from that ending. This series will be dearly missed and was thoroughly enjoyed by yours truly. All I can say is, “wow.” What a fantastic anime.

it’s a happy ending , Akiyuki still live though i don’t know why , all good people are alive.
where’s Hiruken Emperor ? He has a same face as Akiyuki. He’s with Nakiami in thousand year .isn’t he?
