If Ichigo’s dad used to be a captain, how come during the Soul Society Arc when he introduced himself to Ikkaku, Ikkaku doesn’t remember Ichigo’s dad as a captain like he remembered Urahara Kisuke when he asked Ichigo who his master was? That, and he wasn’t in the Turn Back the Pendulum series. Also he claims that he was captain level when he was fighting the Grand Fisher, not that he was a captain, Ichigo is captain level, but he’s not a captain.

I havent seen the ep anime yet but I guess it still continuation of ep 206 wherein in manga was “turn back the pendulum” way back 110yr ago. well kinda bit curious now on this ep XD

Actually BokuWaOtakuJaNai, PMadeira is wrong.

Ichigo’s dad does appear in the manga. http://www.onemanga.com/Bleach/187/02/

After what you saw in the anime, the same thing happened in the manga. After that, there have been no more explanations of Ichigo’s father.
