July 4th, 2011 at 6:09 am
I’m gonna boycott Marvel Anime from now on. Not only are they horrible, they are also terrible and annoying.
Fuck Marvel!
July 4th, 2011 at 6:10 am
Turn Blade into a loli and we’ll talk. Pass.
July 4th, 2011 at 6:12 am
@bowei006
Same lines as the Iron Man, Wolverine, and X-Men anime…
July 4th, 2011 at 6:13 am
Uhh, passing this like everyone above me.
July 4th, 2011 at 6:13 am

July 4th, 2011 at 6:18 am

The X-Men was actually more than decent. I’ll agree that Wolverine and Iron Man could have been better.
Not sure what the grounds are for skipping something before you’ve even seen one episode.
July 4th, 2011 at 6:26 am
Well, why not? I’ll give it a try. Thanks.
July 4th, 2011 at 6:29 am
ill try this but aside from Heroman Everything from marvel has been shit
including Xmen
July 4th, 2011 at 6:37 am
of all the titles they could of done, why the lame ass vampire with the mommy complex? i dont know.. a dark/gritty ghost rider story or even a adult orientated spiderman series, something thats not kiddy-fied and ruined for fox or disney.
July 4th, 2011 at 6:40 am
WHATS NEXT – SPIDERMAN SERIES ?
July 4th, 2011 at 6:47 am
this should be an OVA rather than series, from the summary it’s simple, 48 minutes is enough to end the story, no need for 12 episodes.
July 4th, 2011 at 6:50 am
Meh
I’m tired of american faggotry
Marvel is taking the space that many good new animes could be debuting.
Sad.
We got cartoons already goddammit
July 4th, 2011 at 6:53 am
Well i read a few reviews elswhere and they give it thumbs down… now saying that before i make my mind up.. i will download and watch it, if it is crap i’ll pass on it in the future…
Thanks Tiggerz for the link
July 4th, 2011 at 6:56 am
i’ll try it out. never know, it could be really good. dont knock it till you try it.
July 4th, 2011 at 6:57 am
passu
July 4th, 2011 at 7:04 am
I’d watch a D.C. anime like Superman or a Batman series (Gotham Knight was sweet), or some cool psych/scifi featuring Martian Manhunter or Green Lantern or something, but I just do not like Marvel characters, mostly because they’re all mutants/science accidents and not natural born aliens or magic like D.C. heroes are.
July 4th, 2011 at 7:13 am
0.o i was kinda looking forward to this .. fingers crossed
July 4th, 2011 at 7:38 am
the X-Men one so far was the best one as the others like Iron Man & Wolverine was gutter trash. If this 1 sucks all I’ll I have to say is they took 2 steps back 1 step forward, another step back & then fell off committing Massive Suicide.
July 4th, 2011 at 7:38 am
just finished watching it. was pretty good. already better than wolverine and xmen. ill keep watching it for now.
July 4th, 2011 at 7:46 am

I gotta feelin, that it’s gonna be a good one! =3
July 4th, 2011 at 8:21 am
I wasn’t able to make it all the way through the first 3, but I guess I’ll still give it a shot though.
July 4th, 2011 at 8:28 am
well just watched 1st episode…. seems okay to watch, so i’ll see how it goes from here
July 4th, 2011 at 8:38 am
what i like from Marvel is their art, looks great and detail
July 4th, 2011 at 9:04 am
more marvel waste.
July 4th, 2011 at 9:11 am
dropped as fast as i can, this is another marvel-sucks-anime-wannabe, this is not your place man, go to cartoon instead, damn now i really hate marvel more,
first wolverine, x-man, iron man, and now blade, what next? spiderman?green lantern? batman? come on, this is anime bro, you just destroying anime reputation, geez..
DEFINITELY DROP!
July 4th, 2011 at 9:19 am
America dumping their toxic waste on japans shores yet again.
July 4th, 2011 at 9:35 am
Skip this. I dunno, I love Marvel comics and their animation/films. But I dropped all Marvel Anime, so lame srsly ><
July 4th, 2011 at 9:58 am
So just like the others? They visit Japan and get owned by Japanese people >.> Pretty much happened since Iron Man
July 4th, 2011 at 10:18 am
I’ll join “drop this anime” team too..
July 4th, 2011 at 10:31 am
I’ll join blu team…
July 4th, 2011 at 10:48 am
I didn’t watch any of Marvel adaptations, but i’m seriously curious about their problem, so ?
July 4th, 2011 at 10:50 am
I’m skipping this as well.
July 4th, 2011 at 10:51 am
So, judging by the comments, all Blade & no moe? Fine with me, loadin.
July 4th, 2011 at 11:11 am
I don’t think most of the people who said X-Men was bad actually watched it. If you didn’t watch the entire thing you really couldn’t comment on it. The other 2 series before that should of never of been created, because it just put out a bad image on anything Marvel puts out for anime. I really do regret watching Iron Man & Wolverine, since it was a huge waste of pc space & time. You would of really thought those 2 shows would of had a great Climax turnaround smh If you watched X-Men you would have noticed that the characters were completely different from the Wolverine series. I hope Blade doesn’t turn sour during the series. Honestly, American Cartoons shouldn’t try to be Animated; it just doesn’t fit the genre. Just give it english voices and store it in another category of Cartoon. No matter how much you try and change it it still turns out as a regular american cartoon but now animated.
July 4th, 2011 at 11:37 am
This is the first marvel show I’ve actually been looking forward to. Besides, it can’t be any worse than x-men or wolverine…..
July 4th, 2011 at 11:59 am
I can take the marvel’s movies but marvel’s anime is… too much. Watch all 3 of their anime and (this is my opinion) it ruin the reputation of anime.
July 4th, 2011 at 12:05 pm
Okay, so after watching it, I can tell it’s nothing like BLADE. The atmosphere is lame and the animation is bad. Action scenes are missing a link. Like something is gonna happen and then you see a black screen. Next thing you see, everything is over and you didn’t see what happened. WTF?
July 4th, 2011 at 12:06 pm
Probably as bad as the other Marvel anime :P
July 4th, 2011 at 12:24 pm
in summary, marvel and madhouse just wasting another money for this anime-wannabe, really, marvel animation doesn’t suit to an anime genre, and they never learn, oh bother…
July 4th, 2011 at 12:35 pm
I can’t believe there is sooo much whine about a little thing as a Marvel adaptation when there are so many japanese made animes that are worse than shit coming out year after year, at least the Marvel adaptations aren’t filled with senseless fan-service and child pornography (loli crap).
Definitely giving this a chance, even if I dont expect much.
July 4th, 2011 at 12:52 pm
We’ve all seen the movie made by the culture that created it….why watch an imitation?
July 4th, 2011 at 1:05 pm
Hmm iron man was barely watchable and xmen was too cheesy for my liking, but this actually has a chance at being cool.
July 4th, 2011 at 1:05 pm
i think this one will be the best anime of marvel because i have read the story and it was realy good
July 4th, 2011 at 1:22 pm
i sorta like it, and i dindt like any of the others from marvel so this miht be diferent
July 4th, 2011 at 1:42 pm
so, what’s next? spider man? maybe hulk
July 4th, 2011 at 1:51 pm
Ehhh, that blond guy with the wine glass has the same name as me .-.
“Radu” AND THEY PRONOUNCE IT SOOOOO WROOOONGGG AHHFIEHIUOFWEHUOIHUO
July 4th, 2011 at 2:05 pm
well. X-men have a awesome quality in animation/draw, but the story kinda sucks, so gona see a few chap of Blade and if suck as iron man and wolverine gona drop it
July 4th, 2011 at 2:15 pm
Thanks… but no thanks…
July 4th, 2011 at 2:23 pm
i gonna pass this one i like the actual blade Wesley Snipes.
July 4th, 2011 at 2:41 pm
I’ll try it out especially since I know there is not a chance of Yaoi crap in this one.
July 4th, 2011 at 2:43 pm
im not passing!
ill see if this is good like wolverine
July 4th, 2011 at 2:57 pm
Its crap & I’m DROPPING it!!!!
Next please!
July 4th, 2011 at 3:07 pm
Well the things that are wrong with this are the same things that are wrong with all the movie/series adaptations of Blade.
1) Vampires die too easily. These are the high forms of undead. They shouldn’t be pushovers, and a HUMAN shouldn’t just kill masses of them hand to hand. They are supposed to be stronger, faster and have more acute sense than a human by far. Even the weakest ones.
2) Blade himself is too strong/fast in relation to them. He doesn’t trade blows…just cuts them down like they are straw dummies. He is supposed to have equivalent power to them…not above average.
3)How the hell does someone transform into a vampire from one bite that doesn’t even kill them? It took like…2 minutes tops. It’s supposed to take a whole frigging day and night and the person has to be right on the verge of death.
I really thought they would continue to improve after the X-Men turned out to be pretty decent.
July 4th, 2011 at 3:09 pm
giving it a try.
July 4th, 2011 at 5:02 pm
Just so you know guys, the main guy of this show is voiced by Solid Snake (japanese version). I mean, come on, it’s Snake.
July 4th, 2011 at 5:32 pm
so much hate lol sucks to be this anime
July 4th, 2011 at 6:11 pm
What the HELL did i just watch???
dis vampire nonsense doesnt make no sense at all, im kinda disspointed….
July 4th, 2011 at 6:21 pm
I always liked the live action blade movie, so i found this to be pretty enjoyable. *shrugs*
July 4th, 2011 at 7:54 pm
I just watched the first episode now and I’m going to watch the whole anime for sure! It wasn’t bad at all, at least not this episode. I want moooar!
July 4th, 2011 at 9:46 pm
Somethings don’t deserve to be an anime… this is one of them. A whole lot of angry people are commenting on this… lol
July 5th, 2011 at 12:05 am
tnx for the up but the show was utter crap so imma join the rage-wagon.
July 5th, 2011 at 12:05 am
:edit: Less swearing/flaming and more relevant discussioning please.
If that can’t be done, then don’t type anything at all…
July 5th, 2011 at 12:09 am
o and all of the people that are spreading hate haven’t even watched it, or watched it with such a bias that they didn’t even want to give it a chance, people just need to either watch it and comment on why they did or didn’t like it
Or not fking bash it at all
and slashmans reasons for not liking it are his opinion but his opinion is shit :), its a whole nother fking world in a whole fking nother dimension in a whole fking nother magazine/comic book than anything in the anime verses they have the Right to portray vampires and blade as they want to maybe in that world Vampires Aren’t such a superior fking undead species or what ever and what not. Maybe there chicken fodder Are u the fking Artist or story writer? I think fucking not. I shit u not what some of u say while i lurk makes me laugh
July 5th, 2011 at 12:31 am
once again i’ll be passing an another Marvel anime, untill they do like Deadpool or something then i an’t watching :P
July 5th, 2011 at 12:37 am
@Caxe7
You really need to dial back on the caffeine dude.
You might take a look further up and see that I was one of the people stating that the anime should be given a chance.
My points are based on reason and logic(well as much as can be applied to a fictional, horror-inspired world).
A normal human blazes through vampires like they were mannequins and they don’t even have time to react(you know…the things that are faster, stronger and have sharper senses than us).
I’m not talking about Blade here either. But if they’re that easy to kill…then they aren’t an actual threat to humanity.
Also…from both the series, the movies and the comics…turning into a vampire doesn’t take minutes…it takes a day or two and the vampire has to drain the person to the point of death.
Now maybe Frost is some kind of exceptional vamp with a bite that kills and transforms all in one go…but then Blade’s mother would never have survived to have a baby and die right before she gave birth.
Excuse me for applying common sense to this.
July 5th, 2011 at 12:46 am
Were any of these marvel anime’s actually popular with the japanese people they were aimed at? I wonder if they’re just shitty adaptations that nobody liked, or if it’s just one of those cultural things where the japanese like them and we think they’re shit.
July 5th, 2011 at 12:51 am
Screw all of the hate this series is getting without people giving it a chance I men really? Not even gonna watch the first episode? Lmao wow and to address some concerns about the way things happened in this anime for one thing blade is at the level of not your ordinary vampire but of that of a higher clas meaning deacon frost since blade has frosts dna inside of him that’s like being a demi god while the others are like bastard step children so yes he can just mow them down like a weed whacker on a good Sunday lawn and about the guy turning into a vampire exceptionally quick uh hello common sense deacon has 4 count em 4 fangs which in turn would drain a person ridiculously fast and since he’s a higher class vampire his “thirst” would be higher and his ability to tranform people would be crazy quick and lastly if he’s this powerful how come blades mother didn’t transform.. well here’s my guess he only drained her right to the brink of death and the birth killed her meaning her body simply didn’t have the resources it needed to undergo the transformation..lack of blood and the body diverting resources to the baby it was nurturing and so the birth of a half breed killed her plain and simple :-)but that’s just what I think I also have another theory about his mom but I won’t get into it oh and happy indipendence day if your from america like me fuck yeah!
July 5th, 2011 at 12:52 am
Oh and forgot to mention I like this series so far and thanks tiggerz!
July 5th, 2011 at 12:59 am
@ slashman
Your excused,
and u should read Razgrizdemon’s recent post….that’s my new response to u *insert his rant here*
July 5th, 2011 at 4:48 am
theres a small chance ill follow this…first episode is meh
July 5th, 2011 at 4:56 am
Show wasn’t that bad. A little cliche but not bad. Kind of reminded me of how they created Spawn the Animated Series. Also, if it looks like he is killing the Vampires way too easy, well maybe it’s because it’s called Mixed Martial Arts and Sensory Training. Kind of like real life where they are real athletes who can beat the tar out of your average Donna or Don, because they spent their whole life training, toning, and honing their skills. Still there are other stronger Vamps he might come across, like you’ve just seen with his fight with Deacon Frost. I’ll watch it since it’s interesting, but I really don’t see this as an anime but just Animated Like How Spawn was Animated but still was English dubbed. You can tell the difference from something that his just became Animated & the anime we usually watch. It has a Hellsing feel to it, but Hellsing was on a completely different & higher level. Watch it. You might Enjoy it or Not.
July 5th, 2011 at 4:59 am
Damn, couldn’t get through cliché vampires and the fact a japanese studio is drawing an american black superhero wielding a katana to fight vampires in Japan. I’ll give it another shot eventually.
July 5th, 2011 at 5:14 am
Can’t be any worse that Hidan no Aria.
July 5th, 2011 at 5:41 am
@xuande thank you! some one else that didn’t like that garbage i thought i was alone
July 5th, 2011 at 6:03 am
well this was forgettable
July 5th, 2011 at 6:08 am
Someone who judges an anime without watching it shouldnt call himself an anime fan.
All these people here are a disgrace for humanity.
July 5th, 2011 at 6:33 am
I watched it and was not impressed .they could have given the the first Ep more thought .most people have seen the movies and tv series the recap of who he was just wasted art work and my time
July 5th, 2011 at 7:31 am
Okay after watching it I still think its better than Hidan no Aria but I think its definitely the worst marvel anime they’ve come out with. Why do the vampires spontaneously combust after 1 hit?
July 5th, 2011 at 8:13 am
Man, the only thing pushing me away from this is the bad animation. :S
Looks cheaply made.
July 5th, 2011 at 10:11 am
AND HERE GUYS, WE SEE MOTHERFUCKING WEEABOOS DISLIKE “WESTERN” SHOWS TURNED INTO “ANIME” BECAUSE THEY ARE ORIGINALLY “WESTERN”.
THE USUAL SHIT ON ANIMETAKE.
ALSO
CAPS ARE FOR NOOBS, HOLD SHIFT INSTEAD.
July 5th, 2011 at 10:14 am
I gave each series at least 1 episode. I lasted 3 with Wolverine and 5 with X-Men…..then I saw G4TV will show all these shows DUBBED this summer (later) and was like why bother with Blade….wait for G4
July 5th, 2011 at 3:40 pm
I’m giving the show a few more episodes at the very least.
My problems with the show aren’t that it’s not ‘western’ enough. Frankly, anyone thinking that an anime should be like a Saturday morning cartoon just because it’s based on an originally American work is stupid. It’s an anime version.
If the show picks up and gets better, I’ll stick with it. Especially if it explains how a normal human woman cuts her way through a nightclub full of vampires(although I suspect it won’t).
July 5th, 2011 at 3:55 pm
Well even tho I read comments I decided to give it a try. This show really lacks something but gonna give it a try yet like 2 more episodes or so
July 5th, 2011 at 5:46 pm
i’ll give this one a try and wish that they have darker storyline for this. i watched iron man, x-man, supernatural, wolverine and most of them didn’t last more than 2 episode.
what’s next? pinky & brain ? george of the jungle?
July 5th, 2011 at 7:04 pm
@Takashi001 yo Takashi you’re free to leave if our tastes are such a fundamental eyesore to your daily life.
You don’t see us raving badly about shows in the west, do you know why?
BECAUSE THEY ARE MASS PRODUCED GARBAGE.
You don’t hear idioms like “americoons” now do you? Because you got no culture, just fast food restaurants and coke.
Oh and don’t bring up that bullshit about disney and the “classics” disney is dead, all that is left is just the latest copies of the >exact< same old formula and most of them are LIVE ACTION!
July 5th, 2011 at 7:06 pm
Heck even mickey mouse himself has moved on into Kingdom Hearts for fucks sake. If that is not a sign that the animation era in america died then i don’t know what is.
So excuse us for stating the obvious when we don’t want hollywood to stretch it’s filthy hands into our anime plaza, we already have enough cash makers as it is.
How about your american directors get off their lazy asses and stop using 3D & politics to cover up for their lack of inspiration? Maybe i wouldn’t scoff the next time i see “Peter Pan Lineage (remake 67)”
July 5th, 2011 at 7:07 pm
Whether you like it or not America’s reputation with media in general especially animation IS IN THE TOILET. BROKE THE BOTTOM OF THE BARREL. SHOT THE HORSE TO THE MOON.
“Weaboos, Weaboos, Weaboos.” All i hear is a tart hiding behind a social sigma in order to justify his agenda of throwing insults around. You’re probably one of those bastards that burn manga comics at school because we refuse to comply to your social standards.
July 5th, 2011 at 11:38 pm
@Meomix,Takashi001
Calm down. Love and let live. If you don’t like it, state your opinion and go. That’s what the comments are for. Quit flaming and grow up.
July 6th, 2011 at 12:16 am
i love how people are hating on this because its american. i agree it sucks. but really? if one of the comic book writers actually wrote the plot, it would be better. iron man wouldnt tie himself down to one woman. wolverine wouldnt be a freaking wuss. and the x-men for some reason wouldnt be overly sensitive to everything.
July 6th, 2011 at 1:59 am
Instead of working on the third season of Hajime no Ippo they’re making these Marvel animes that are a real waste of time… all for that money… I hope bad stuff happens to their money
July 6th, 2011 at 2:08 am
ippo DOES have enough content for a s3… and it’s popular too… been popular for 20 years. I really want s3 too….
July 6th, 2011 at 2:14 am
@boss1138
Continuity in comics is one of the most laughable concepts I can think of. Marvel and DC fluctuate so much in their writing, its like a sine wave.
In one comic, Gladiator takes down both the X-Men and Fantastic 4 together, and in another he gets fought to a draw by Nova.
In one comic, Venom is handing Spiderman his ass and in yet another Spiderman fights and almost manages to beat Firelord(yeah…the Galactian Herald).
In one comic, Doctor Doom is taking on the Avengers and Fantastic 4 together and in another he gets beat by Squirrel Girl.
To add to that confusion, almost every character has gone through personality changes and alterations in their motives and emotions based on whoever is writing the comic at the time.
So I don’t actually agree that if one of the comic book writers wrote the plot that it would necessarily be better. The characters don’t have to match a particular concept exactly. And to be honest, if Marvel was going for an American take on this…they wouldn’t have handed it to a Japanese animator to make.
The things I don’t like about the series are, in fact, the things that the Americans did to it that the Japanese animators left in.
I liked the X-Men exactly because it didn’t feel like a carbon copy of the ‘American Version’. It felt like an anime adaptation which very closely stuck to concepts from the source material and made them its own.
July 6th, 2011 at 1:58 pm

Real mature resulting to insults when your weaboo bandwagon fails catastrophically.
July 6th, 2011 at 5:31 pm
was marvel wolverine any good?

was marvel x-men any good?
barely, it was “ok”.
did this episode of blade impress you?
no.
are you tired of seeing your favorite series/movies/characters getting ruined in low cost productions?
yes.
July 6th, 2011 at 5:34 pm
^ to the guize who can’t accept people that didn’t approve of this marvel madness.
July 6th, 2011 at 8:01 pm
I’ll take a look on one episode, if it’s good, I’ll continue to watch, if not, I’ll stop watching, but seriously, If I saw the summer’s list. damn that is a failure.
July 7th, 2011 at 10:08 am

July 8th, 2011 at 5:52 pm
My take on it. This episode was better than ironman and wolverine, but there was no action in it at all, well, comic book action. It just showed a still frame of the sword swing.
Xmen was the best of the four marvel series thus far, though it was weak on the story. Everyone had the right powers and acted as they should, with the only emo being Scott, as he always was.
Not sure if I will watch too many more blade episodes.
July 8th, 2011 at 5:56 pm
I’ll also add, marvel animated movies have been good so far, same for DC. The old American Xmen series, at least the one from the 90’s, was excellent to me. The newer teen ones are pretty good for the most part too, again the same for DC ones. The Japanese versions just aren’t that great, but it was the same for transformers and the like too back in the day if you ever saw those =-)
July 11th, 2011 at 1:36 am
@Takashi001 welcome to the internet, let me just explain how things work here, all caps rage rant = butthurt.
And don’t forget to tell your summer friends.
July 12th, 2011 at 7:24 pm
hmm blade 2 re encode been out for awhile, when is the original comming out from them?
July 13th, 2011 at 10:01 pm
It seems from now on Midnight-Sons will release Blade in 480p which is alright with me since it a bad upscale like the rest of the marvel anime that have aired.
Also ep 1v2 and 2 have been released awhile back!
July 31st, 2011 at 4:30 am
The big problem with turning Marvel comics into anime is most have already been produced as cartoons (with animeish animation). Following the standard hero feel that most successful shows go with. Anime tends to go through a mutation to cater to anime fans, this is where the anime companies failed… but this could get long…
August 16th, 2011 at 9:22 am
Well call me Bad Otaku but i see no problem with Marvel turn to Anime… yeah there are some bad flaws.. But well this is MADHOUSE dude that MADHOUSE!! i’m hardcore action anime fan, as long there are action ini it.. BRING IT ON SUCKER!!!!
